    Default Insurance. . . .

I've just bought an auto 1.9 (150) Vectra SRi with vxr styling pack (body kit and snow flake alloys). Will my insurance increase as I currently have a standard manual Vectra SRi 1.9 (150).

Has any one else either changed to a vec with the xp or put the pack on and has it increased your insurance?

    Thanks for any replies, Ste.

well alloys are alloys so they are standard? i mean if it would of come with alloys anyway then having slightly bigger ones shouldnt count i wouldnt of thought, same with body kit, ask them though to be sure

Any modification from standard will more than likely up your premium. Not sure if showroom extras count though...

I don't wanna ask the question just in case I can hear the sound of hands rubbing together down the phone. But it needs to be insured properly so am just gonna have to ask.

Just had a look at the 2008 veccy cat. It doesn't state the sri xp as a seperate model, just the sri with the xp kit added at extra cost. So I would say yes, they may class it as a body kit and alloys added over the standard spec of the car. How far they go is down to the insurance company as some want all optional extras declared too.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

I also wondered the same, so I called mine and asked before i gave my policy number over.
Got the wheels added + irmy stuff (grill / boot spoiler) at no added cost. Only performance mods will increase the premium, like exhausts / remap / filter.
