Default Quick Facelift Service Light Question...

Is the service light on a FL Vec C not an oil can and spanner..? My mate has had his Vec serviced and it has a car with a spanner through it, the garage has told him that the newer Vec's have this as the service light (to replace the oil can picture) - is this right, or is he been fobbed off..??

IIRC all the service lights are oil cans and cars. All the spanners are faults stored. Big dave has a link to the handbooks that can answer the question 100%

My P/FL shows an oil can and spanner when nearing service time, never seen a car and spanner, I assume this is the fault light, but that link would be good if Big Dave see's this thread.

Insp means its on fixed service intervals.

Dan, if you go onto the vauxhall site - owners section you can sign up - free - and download manuals till your hearts content.

    As said - car/spanner = fault light.

    Car/oilcan for ECOservice-flex intervals
    INsP for fixed service intervals.

    Handbooks here:-

    http://www.vauxhall.co.uk/vaux/owner...do?method=view

If it's not there, I have an Aug 2003 copy - PM me if you want a copy.

He could try the Accelerator/Brake pedal method to identify any fault codes stored if there is no code reader available....cheers

Depends. Does it also have the same image on a flag flying from ur aerial? Perhaps it used to be a pirate hire car
