I think I have a built in handsfree in mine, but haven't a clue how to get it working, there is what looks like a microphone stuck just infront of the rear view mirror, and what some bar thing with a wire attached stuck onto the windscreen, anybody have any clue how to get it working?

If you have it like myself it will be a menu page on the CID or GID and it works on CDC40 DAB as well as thats what I have it is not just for the CDC70. If there is not a menu tab then you don't have it and its not part of the hu its a seperate unit called a uhp that connects to the display either cid or gid needed and the hu and canbus.

It's indeed for the microphone.
If you get an UHP4-unit from ebay ( around 100 euro ) or the dealer ( 250 euro ) with a microphone and you connect it like I did. You'll only need someone with a tech2 who knows how to set it up.

I bought one from ebay
I took a grey MID plug from a vectra B ( this will fit into the uhp4 )

Then wired it like this :
Pin 13 to Pin 9 Radio (Can-Bus)
Pin 14 to Pin 10 Radio (Can-Bus)
Pin 27 to Pin 34 Radio
Pin 11 to Pin 40 Radio
Pin 23 to Pin 11 Radio
Pin 16 to ground

Pin 32 to permanent + with fuse in the middle (7.5A) or use pin 15 radio
Pin 25 to with cable microphone
Pin 9 to black cable microphone


this should be it. Hope this will get you further !
