Question What is this plug for above the maplights??

If anyone could shed some light on this, that'd be great. Didn't have this plug here on my pre-facelift, and no idea what it is for. Best guess is some sort of hands free kit etc?? Has 2 wires going to it, 1 black 1 blue/red, and is fixed to the roof via a plastic clip, and the wire is also fixed going all the way into the roof lining. Just curious as to what it is so if you have any comments, please let us know! Thanks people!

Funnily enough, I noticed this when I was modding over to map lights at the weekend and took a picture to post and ask exactly the same question!

I guess that means it's nothing to do with the rain sensors/auto lights group then (neither of which I have)... Microphone seems likely I guess. I have CD70NAV too.

Lol, beat you to it Ollie, must've read your mind ....saw it when I changed my maplights over too, but wasn't until this morning I thought I'd see what it's for and post it on here. So if it's for a microphone...is there anything I can do to make it work? Or is it not worth it...I'm taking a wild guess here but I'm sure it's not just plug and play in order to get it working *sigh* another plug just sitting there doing nothing lol

mmm, I thought CD70's had bluetooth handsfree full stop....

Can it be tech 2'd to work ? If it can, I recommend it. Great quality.

Nope not all mate. Mine didn't that's why I installed a Parrot kit instead.

Mine hasn't got any handsfree options on it at all, I'm guessing it was an extra option for the CD70 unit....
