    Default DAB issue

I've had a CDC40 dab setup for a while now and on the gid display it keeps flashing and beeping dab safe is there any way around it like cutting a wire or?just fed up with it bleepin at me and showing messege every 3 seconds it works good apart from that. I would appreciate if any one can tell me.

    Thanks

Sounds like the power has been lost to the radio for a while and the radio now requires the 4 digit code re-entering to enable it to work again.
Have you got the radio/key card with the radio and key code numbers?
Details for re-entering the radio code should be in the radio manual.

You need to tech2 the display to your stereo mate as yours is full can bus . There is no 4 digit code to be put in like the half canbus stereos

    I stand corrected, thanks Kman247.
BTW not being funny about your info kman.
I did have a facelift 06 reg with CDC40 dab, and I thought that was the correct way to do it, similar to my present 03 reg.
Entering a code must be a LOT cheaper way of getting the radio working again.

Yes all radios have the code, but CD30, CDC40, CD50, DVD60, CD70 Navi and DVD90 have the four digit code entered via hand-held programmer (Tech 2).

You will need to have the DAB unit married into your car with the same code used by the GID and the CDC40 head-unit.
Luckily it is flashing SAFE and beeping...just means that one of the three parts of the sound system is still divorced.

You would have been in a real pickle if the SAFE message stayed on all the time, as this would mean the one of the parts is still married to a different car's infotainment system.
