Default Got car back today.... wasn't the EGR...

I said I would update on my juddering that I had at new year causing the Vec to go into limp....

It wasnt the EGR valve as expected. Or the third injector!

Quite a long report on the job sheet...

    TECH2 showing P0093 (52)
    Field Remedy 1957
    Fuel pressure 17.23 - Desired 80.00.
Fault on Suction control valve. New parts ordered.
Replaced Fuel pump suction control valves.
    Renew cambelt
Lower timing case bolts rounded off when trying to removed - renwew bolts as reqd. Renew gskts / seals etc.

Hmm.... so the reason it was in for two weeks was that someone rounded off the bolt heads and they had to wait for new ones to come in.... the actual problem was fixed a week ago!

I am assuming "Renew Cambelt" means that they have replaced it? Or do you think they mean it needs renewing? They didnt actually say anything about it when I collected it.

Does anyone know what field remedy 1957 is?

    Vectra-C 2003...2006,Signum 2003...2006 Y30DT| Z30DT,Y30DT| Z30DT
Complaint: Engine lack of power during acceleration. During investigation with TECH2 a pressure drop between actual rail pressure and desired rail pressure is visible.
Cause: Blocked suction control valve (SCV) within the high pressure pump.
Production: Modified production process (earlier changing of manufacturing tools, improved cleanliness) implemented at supplier. Countermeasures were implemented with engine number 69692 (01.09.2006).

    Yep its 3L V6 CDTi.

Warranty shopping for it now as it runs out in 2 weeks.

Lucky this happened before it ended really. I was worried it would not be covered because of something I read in the documents about being within three months of the cars first MOT, but the stealers just did it and said it was covered, so I did not argue!
