    Default Corsa Specialists?

Is there anyone around with knowledge of Corsas, I've got my corsa project and need some advice really. Although there are Corsa forums they are not frequented by the most amiable people in the world.

Found this on ebay, and I'm going past on Friday (very close). Can't make out from the ad if this includes rear springs and shocks, doesn't make too much sense.

Love the idea the strut is ready to go on. BUT does these just pop on to the CV joint from what you can tell or does it need that stuff doing. I'm not the best but willing to learn, hence this project.

If anyone can put me in touch with someone who has good Corsa knowledge that would be fantastic. Anyone local to me ALWAYS gets their time paid for. Though I can take it to a garage for certain jobs, I don't learn. Doing the belts and water pump next weekend. But no PAS and only and 8 valve so easy job.

Found these they look alright, just trying to negotiate shipping.

30mm is not a nasty drop and will firm it up a bit. Besides, my wife keeps telling me not to 'TERRY' it up too much!

Anyway, Corsa Project "HOW HARD CAN IT BE"

It's got those 14 inch Tri-spoke things which are fitted to the 'special edition' Corsa Premier, nothing special about it at all. Doesn't even have a cigarette lighter!

If I had the talent I'd swap the engine, a C20NE rather than a C20XE. Did a top-end rebuild on one of those, easy to work on and not a bad engine, twice the horsepower of the X14SZ in it right now.

The wife loves her 1.6 sport. Trundles about quite happily but still has plenty in the tank if you plant your foot.
It's not got long left though as it has started to rust in places you don't want it to, ie the brake master cylinder mount. Major surgery to repair apparently so most likely will be off to the scrappers later this year.

This one has seen better days, it's that blue-purple colour (anyone know what colour that is or supposed to be), but it appears to be solid and it's MOT'd until September. So it's the perfect plaything. The funniest thing was when we picked up the GSi and watching my Mrs in the Vectra wanting me to go faster on a slip road to join the motorway and the thing was screaming and going nowhere. Bit of a giggle round town though.
