Default Ive only had it a week and I'm gonna scrap it!

my 52plate sxi...dear god. Today the heater blower has stopped working. Totally. Pulled out the glovebox to find the fan rusted up and everything wet. Oh well, i can deal with that. Then on the way home the autobox started the dreaded limp 5th and 2nd only. Im gonna go at it with a base ball bat. Give me back my vectra B!! I can handle changing the f18 box every couple of years and cleaning out the icv periodicaly, ill even change the window regulator again, i dont mind! I want to find the chief designer in luton and give him a pasting..

Heater fans full of water cos your bulkhead drain is blocked and overfilled through you pollen filter/heater inlet.

Though it could have been by the sound of your problems.

yeah figured the water thing straight away, though no damp on carpets prior to today which i thought was odd. Poxy vauxhall design. Done 800 faultless miles this last week, no obvious contamination int he oil and no coolant loss. Which pannel shall i batter first? Im thinking the roof, turn it into a convertible..grrr. Mrs says i should calm down, i want to drive through the front door of the gm transmission dept.....

Had one of those for six weeks after an iranian in a taxi ran up the backside of my Accord. What didnt go wrong with it in that time! Nice to drive when it worked though. Same as all vauxhalls i guess!

Looks like a bad run of luck mate... Any idea who had the car before?

My 04 plate Vec has been pretty much faultless, apart from the recent leaking rad issue, but has been lovingly cared for by me for the past 3 years and was a fleet car before that, so always well maintained.

I work in a garage and without any doubt in my mind the best cars are Honda. Just cant knock a well looked after 2.2 vtec. My old R reg was leathered up with cruise and all the toys, 235k (150 by me) was on the clock when i got crashed into. besides the normal service items, the only thing i changed on it was the alternator. Phenominaly well mademachines. Might splash the cash and go for a later one. or put the old vec b back on the road if i can be bothered to change the box and bushes at the back. Still grrr.........

Full vaux service history mate (though i think we carry out a better service than those numpties) andknow the people it came from. 45k on the clock, 2owners.... its p1ss poor to happen on this mileage. I mean honestly, all ranting aside, im really dissapointed with this one. Really dissapointed in vauxhall.
