Default z20net after year 2007 difference?

    Hello,

I have 2007 Vectra Caravan 2.0t and after looking BSR page it states some performance difference between Vectra till 2004/2006 and those after year 2007.

Can someone tell me what else is different in those engines except maybe injectors. Is the turbo the same (Garrett) or it is Mitsubishi in those new ones? Can't find anything on forums

And another question. Will flywheel be under big pressure serving extra power in 2007 models: 175 -> 220PS and 265 Nm -> 330Nm?

    Thank you!

Turbo is either a Mitsubishi or a different Garrett one in the 2007 models, and the flywheel will not be under any more stress with the 2007 model than with the 2004 model, which can achieve 220+ bhp and 320 Nm. with a BSR Stage 1 remap.

As far as I know there are no recorded instances of flywheel/clutch problems attributable to the 173bhp 2.0T with BSR Stage 1, but with Stage 3 it has been suspected.

I read something about slipping clutch after BSR remap stage1 on saab forum. I guess it is the same clutch as in Vectra. I just don't want to have any unnecessary problems, that's why I am asking .

    Thank you john_k_sri.

    My pleasure, mate.

I believe clutch slip is more likely if the Saab 9-3 2.0T is BSR Stage 1 remapped as it ups the power from 207bhp to somewhere in the region of 250bhp and the torque to somewhere in the region of 350Nm.

All of which takes it into BSR Stage 3 territory on the lower-powered Vectra 2.0T which has a standard 173bhp. The Saab equivalent of the standard Vectra 2.0T is called the '2.0t'.
