Default Fitted my VXR 345's BUT..

Went to work on saturday morning as planned..cleaned up calipers and discs etc.. fitted new set up.. went to bleed up and no pedal.. first depression nothing second depression were getting a pedal.. very like their was air in the system.

I then procedded to pressure bleed..no air present but still no pedal.. my first thought was the master had crapped its self.. so i put the standard set up back on and it bled perfect.so thats fine..

Their were no leaks present..no pressure lost in the system and teny were bled in sequence to no avail..

I have spoken toanother member who had a similair problem with 314's.. a new master cured his and a good bleed..

Is my master not man enough for the 345's..

Some folk will reply take it for a drive it will get better...not a chance on this one..i know when a pedal is to the floor or gonna get better

my cars a 1.8 i will look into a different master if i have too but shouldnt think i would have to go down that route.

maybe thier is a diffence and your master cly just can't get all the fluid it needs to, could try doing one corner at a time

What were yours to start with mate? I fitted my VXR's on mine with no issues but I had the 314's to start - this may or may not have made a difference with the master cylinder...

Duncan fitted his on top of his 302's, and again had no issues...

Silly question, the calipers werent wrong handed were they? if they were the bleed nipple would be in the wrong position and you would have trapped air you cannot bleed out...?
Plasma's Tech2 services are now open and able to provide services

I'm having a similar problem, but with just one caliper. They caliper retracts fine when the bleed nipple is loose, but when I finish fitting and all looks fine, the piston decides to stay out pushing into the disc. I'm thinking a refurb or just a new seal kit will sort my problems. I've gone from 302's up. The brakes do feel a little more spongy but they are a lot sharper. (When they worked LOL) so I'm back with my 302's at the moment. LOL
