Strange Noise

Have a loud humming noise coming from rear wheels, starts about 30 mph and speeds up and gets louder the faster I go. The car has only 15k on clock, any ideas please?

Sounds like a wheel bearing to me, take it back to VX

May well be a bearing, but also has been known depending on make of tyre fitted, that when they wear can sound like a similar sound.

Its very loud, if its tyres then I will be shocked at the refinement

Just been down to VX and service said its probably tyre noise. I said I know what tyre road noise sounds like , this noise kicks in at around 30mph and gets louder. So loud I have to turn the stereo up to cover the noise. Got it booked in for Thursday and been told if its not a warranty part I will be charged £45 just for the inspection.
