Default P0110 fault code on GSi - damn!

Just when I've has a few weeks of no spanner light, the damn thing's back on again on start up for approx 5 seconds.

Have read the codes and have got P0110. Having searched the forum, I'm non the wiser. Car starts fine (was a bit lumpy on tickover the other day but now OK), runs fine, in all, nothing that I would say gives cause for concern. But..........

What should I need to look at?

D'you think this is MAF related? God help me if it is.

Will have a lokksee 2mrw but can't recall anything.

For the past 12 months, I was getting P0070 on and off, which relates to "Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit". I've not even bothered with this fault code as the car runs 100%.

So P0070 goes away for a few weeks and P0110 takes its place.

Looks like the "intake air temperature sensor" is part of the MAF http://www.parksoffroad.com/tacomamo...de/cip0110.pdf.

Oh dear . Will have to check all the usual stuff plus a MAF clean. Will see if this helps.

The air temp sensor is part of the same assembly. The flow sensor doesn't measure flow directly, but the cooling effect of the air flowing over a hot wire or film..... (ish)

The temp of the air is needed to work this out. Outcome is the mass air flow.

I would check the wiring and plugs before purchasing a new sensor unit.

Totally agree Ste, hence my other thread http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showthread.php?t=100228.

Have checked and cleaned all the associated plugs/pins/wiring and all seem fine.
