Car kangarooing Help Please!!!!

Hi, I have a 54 plate vectra 1.9 cdti sri 150, took off from tesco carpark today and there was virtually no power in the engine and I was stumbling along like a kangaroo, this went on for a good couple of minutes when suddenly the power came back and the car was going fine for a while then the same thing happened again. The car can be running along fine but very often when I reduce speed and go down the gears the same problem occurs with no power and going along like a kangaroo. The engine electronics indicator keeps coming on as well. There is also strong smell of fumes inside the car as well. Any suggestions?

check for air leeks. had this on my car it was an air leek

sticking egr valve or swirl bar fell off, remove and clean egr, details can be found in the how 2's section. the fumes will probably be coming from the knackered inlet manifold. or as below it could be a combination of both!.

use the 'search' button and look for 3rd injector in the string.. Will most likely be the cause of the problem

would any of these faults cause a massive loss of mpg im only getting 40ish MPG and im treating realy nicely i have lack of power below 2000 revs kangarooing the lot

if the 3rd injector is yellow thats the old one

new upgraded one is blue
