    Default Help needed Lack of Low Down Power cDTI 150

    Im totally lost with this prob now,please help..!

    Ive got a 2006 1.9cdti 150 veccy and just b4 xmas it lost all its power in lowers revs until the turbo banged in.The fault light(spanner)had came on a few random times at this point but always went out.1st thing i done was went to a local garage and he checked for any fault codes but couldnt find anything.Anyway a week later the spanner reappeared and also the emissions light which stayed on for 2 weeks until i reset it.I have done the egr valve clean up,checked the swirl pot linkage,these are still in place but do seem to have some play on them?ive watched them when reving and they seem to be moving left to right fine.Once id cleaned the egr and put it back together it ran fine,nice and smooth.But after being out driving for an hour i stopped and restarted and the ****** thing is back to going like a slug!!!Ive also had a quick check for split pipes but cant see anything.As im sure alot ov u guys know this is a total pain in my arse!..
    I sure somebody on here has the answer to my problems,looking forwards to sorting this out and getting my full power back.thx Simon

    Forgot to mention ive also tryd with egr disconnected and its still flat as a fart

    Check your swirl valve linkages if it is them them you are looking at £800 for a new inlet manifold including fitting there are some How 2's on temporary fixes might help, do you have any warranty. It could be that the EGR wasn't cleaned properly did you clean the solenoid or just the crap on the EGR. There is a How 2 for this as well!

    This is a thread about the same fault that has been reported dozens of times before please use the search facility it will answer lots of things for you without having to hang around for responses, it would also help if you made your heading less vague along the lines that I have changed it to for you.

    Try de-coking mate? I have had to change the EGR valve and De-coke it and finally there seems to be a positive respo0nse from the car at low rev's.

    Got it sorted!!!.......cleaned egr and boost sensor and all is good again,got finished up around 5 and took it for a spin,jesus ive been driving around like this for 3 weeks and instantly when i went for a spin i knew it was sorted...Unreal how much power ive got back now and what with all the cleaning ive done its a much smooth drive.Thx for all the help i got from looking on this top site..!

    glad you got it sorted mate i did my egr the other day and put a few piccs on here aswell
