Mine had them fitted they just moved over when I put new springs on some replace them with the new springs don't know if they are standard though.
Mines quite an early model tho...
I'm going to buy new ones anyway (if i have them) when i get my lowering springs (wed), no point fitting old parts for a few quide...
But my Drivers front has started twanging when turning at low speeds so i'm guessing its this... i'm just wondering if mine has them??, what's the life of the mod do people think?, if mine doesn't have them its nothing really to worry about as new ones will be going on...
Its just that i'm taking the shockers to a garage to swap on the cheap as i have no spring clamps - if these are bad for wear and tear i might as well invest in some clamps myself...
Depends how much the garage is going to charge to do the work good quality spring clamps aren't cheap, I borrowed mine when I did it anybody you know got any?
I can ask around my mates... And told £25 if that...
Was quoted £90 for full fitting at the garage i normally get M.O.T's done...
If you have any mechanical skill it is a basic task then its a no brainer there is a How 2 on this subject.
Oh yeah, i'll have a bash... just no clamps.
I'm doing backs myself stripping fronts out - but taking fronts and new front springs to garage to swap over, thats it...
Do you have self leveling lights if so be careful with the rears as there is a sensor on the nearside rear wishbone you have to undo or replace if you don't and I needed spring clamps for the rear as the sussie wouldn't drop low enough to get the old ones out but they were the longer by 15mm design ones.
No i have the switch... Looks like i'll have to make a few phone calls or buy some clamps. might come in handy in the future anyway. but £90 quids a joke!
Machine mart do a set of 3 for 30 quid. Used them on monday to fit Keithy's springs, quite good quality
