Calling all Multispoke Owners

Hi,

I was just wondering what size tyre's people had on there Multispokes? I have just ordered some 225x45x18 for my new wheels and found one of my old posts saying I put 235x45x18 on them.

What is the standard tyre size and what have you guys found better?

Just wondering if I need to go change my order?

Just found a website showing tyre size's and change wheel sizes and looks like I am better off with the 225 so not worried now. Will only 1.83 mph over the actual speed at 70mph... phew.

Standard VX fitment is the expensive 225/45/18, cheaper alternative (though not in the handbook) is 225/40/18, and I've got 235/40/18 which is what the VXR comes with...

Cool thanks all. I have a garage round the corner that sell's 2nds with 6 - 7mm tread on them and is selling them for £25 per tyre. I have used him before for my current Conti Contact Sport 2's and they are great. Have had no issues with them at all.

I have also ordered the spring sleeve mod so I can fit my springs from VX. Should arrive Tue. Hopefully get the springs and wheels fitted next weekend maybe!!

As Penfold says, 225/45 is the official size for the 11 spokes, 235/40 is a popular size also. Members have fitted 225/40's but these look to have a very small tyre wall and look a bit odd IMO.

I am going for the 45's because I want a bit more comfortable ride. I have read that the 40's give a harsher ride.Getting old...
