Default How much for a clutch??!

My cars noise has gotten worse so its time to do something about it. When I depress the clutch pedal I hear a clattering noise of tapping metal. I can also very very lightly feel it through the pedal. Is this my thrust bearing thats gone or is it the Dual Mass Flywheel???

How much money am I looking at?

    Cars a 1.9cdti

i thought it was a thrust bearing as i have the same problem and also in traffic my clutch can go soft ,the problem is that if you change your clutch and not your DMF then you got all the heart and wallet ache of sending it back if its the DMF and visa versa personaly i would suck it up and spend the extra pounds and get the lot done then you will be secure in the fact that it done

you are looking at as it is already been posted around 800 for the lot

    cheers mucker

Sounds as if your looking at a new DMF and clutch mate, not cheap but common on your motor.

Go into stealers and play dumb and ask to have a mechanic come out and look at your noisy clutch, when hes lookin at it ask him if he fancies a homer or if any of the other mechanics do homers, thats what i did when my clutch and flywheel went, got it done for about £500
