Heater???

Well then guys and gals! On my way home from work today my heater fan went a bit mental! Was blowing out full blast even though was on 1 setting then it settled down. At the time getting slightly annoyed with a stupid civic in front of me who gone past at a million miles per hour and then sat stupidly slow a mile up the road, but that's another story! Anyway it then started to smell of fire but put it down to people having fires at home being as it's cold, then a smell like TCP started looked round and needed to change my underwear as there was smoke in my passenger foot well so prayed for the stupid civic in front to put his foot down which he didn't but I made it home and now have no heater fan Temperature can be controlled still and so can the direction but not the speed setting. Help, desperate woman here!

Possibly the resistor pack which controls the fan, found behind the glove box on the blower.

Definately the resistor pack hence the smell of burning and it is a common fault on the Veccie

Guessing it the same on the Signum

Same bits and pieces Signum is a Veccie Estate floor pan with a different rear end body shell the overwhelming majority of all the parts are the same

I was saying it sarcastically hence the but either way at least I got away with saying it!!
