Autobox Rattle - And It Does Not Feel That Perky

Well, its going in this week ( again )... this time both me and the other half have noticed when you stick it in D and then stop at a juction and let the auto clutch do its business ( for those that dont know hold the foot brake on and its sposed to dis engage the clutch ) but a faint rattling noise appears. I've also noticed the same noise is even worse when doing hill starts so I'm guessing some thing is loose some where.... but do you guys have any ideas what ?

The noise goes way when sticking it in N telling me its doing some thing diffrent in that mode.

Lastly its felt a big lackluster of late.... now this may be a perception thing but I'm not sure....

Your throughts before the steelers have it ( to say there is no problem ) on Wed would be apprciated from you.

News update - its gone. Also confirmed when I dragged a Vx engineer out side to try..... they didnt want to at first but lessons learned and all that.

I can still use manual but I think its in safe mode as its soooooo slow plus the brakes have gone spongy too as well as loosing them when setting off once.

Fluid was checked and OK so its in this Thurs and with no renta wrecks a carp Chrimbo may be a ahead... thankfully its just inside the wntee.....

BTW - They did say there was no problem before as predicted

Is it setting off in 2nd or 3rd gear , that's limphome mode / safe mode .
No warnings may be flagged up , and that's from an auto transmission specialists mouth .
Good luck mate ( by the way I speak from experience)

Latest - the local steelers are not sure what is going on and may have to involve Vauxhall.....

I also got asked about my CarPC and had to explain it did not in validate the warrenty.... which it doesnt.

Also - no hire car now or probably over christmas so not sure how to feel about that at the moment.....

Latest - Been given the 'This carpc thing may invalidate your wa'ntey' speech because I have an ODB reader.

The engineer is trying some more software tommrrow that hes been told to use which 'may' fix the problem ???

It was also suggested not read the Vectra-c forums due to hear say etc and that hes never seen a gear box problem yet which was not fixable.....

MMmmmm

Last update of the day - there isnt one.... the engineer has gone to the doctors and nothings going to happern till Monday now.

Spoke to the lady on the desk and said that I needed a car next week ( which she agreed to ) and that not knowing where the problem was by now was far from acceptable.

I've also placed them on warning I'm ready to esculate......

Going to use this as a log from now on mainly for my self as I will I susspect need to refer back to it.....
