Eek How NOT to mod a veccy!!!

I had a bit of an accident tonight whilst coming back from picking my youngest up from his girlfriends. Coming around a bad bend the rear end skidded on mud. There have been 2 other accidents on the same bend this week according to the police. I tried to correct it and accelerate out of the skid but the front went up a grass verge and before i could react, the rest is a total blur. We went over on to the roof and i remember the air bags going off. When we came to a stop, the engine was still running, music playing and the lights were on.
We managed to climb out through the back window and staggered around in the headlights of a lorry that had stopped. He phoned for an ambulance and the police. I started clearing the road as there was a full bodykit, a load of Meguires cleaning stuff, my sub box and a load of cd's everywhere.
The police came and took a breath sample (clear as i'm on call) and we were taken to hospital for a thorough check over.

Apart from a load of cuts and bruises we are both fine although we will be very sore in the morning. The car will be a write-off as there is not a straight panel on it.
I did manage to take a couple of pics with my phone but i was shaking so excuse the quality.

Anybody got a car i can borrow

As per earlier m8 - sooooo sorry to hear about this and glad everyone is okay.

Now that I've seen the pics - you were really lucky to come out of it unscathed!! Just shows you how robust these cars are!!

Now all the hassle of insurance, getting another car etc. - but that is all easily replaced. As gutted as you're going to be to lose the car, at least you're all okay.

    Keep us posted m8

The police said that the 2 other accidents this week were fatals and the cars were no where near as bad as mine.

Thank god Vx can do something right

    Jeez!!! Thank God indeed!!

Edit: Just a thought... was the mud from a farm/farm vehicles? If it was, you've got a case to claim against them for not keeping the road clear.

Bl00dy heck mate.... ....glad to hear your all ok.......must of been really scarey
I know this might not seem quite appropriate after whats just happened......but can people see why we have to declare tuning boxes.......your not going to have the opportunity to take your tuning box out of that after an accident like that......
As I said, glad you are all ok though....

    Eek

Don't want to sound lighthearted in any way, I'm genuinely relieved you're all OK, but I'm gutted about your car!

I see accidents like this on a fairly regular basis, and it never fails to amaze me how the damage to the car doesn't tally with the injuries sustained.

Just hope you manage to get a suitable replacement, and get it back to the stunning level this one was at before tonight's 'adjustments'

That is a great advertisement for the safety of the Vec-C. It is nasty to look at though.

At the end of it all you are both OK & that's is the be all & end all of it. Car can be replaced.

Oh my GOD Tony!! HUGE to all of you - that just looks terrifying, and I am soooo glad you're all okay - this could have had a mch worse outcome, and as Ozz says, is a tribute to the safety of your poor Veccy

Such a shame she is well and truly out of it now, but thank Christ you're all okay!!! Pic has made me feel a bit shakey myself
