Dbilas Flowmaster air filter system.

I'm looking on doing some more engine work in the coming months and most of the products used will be Dbilas stuff. Just been on the website and came across the flowmaster air filter system. Anybody got one of these on a CDTi 150 and if so what do you think of them?

Cheers, Matt.

Its just a Cast air box with a K&N panel filter in the middle mate. Putting a K&N in your stock box will do the exact same thing.

Ok chaps, Cheers.
Already have a K&N panel filter, so methinks I will keep the £180 and spend it on other things!!

A stock air box with a K&N panel filter is better than any open intake, shield or not. What you want is something like a Piper Viper. There are always bargains on Ebay, don't look for a specific vectra one. I got a Cotton Green sealed system for £10. All you need to look for is the correct diameter of the Maf. Look for Cotton Green Twister, Piper Viper, K&N Apollo and Simota Carbon Charger. These are all sealed and will still give you the induction noise. Keep in mind foam filters are worse at filtration than Cotton based filters. HTH

This is the Simota specific for the Astra CDTI modded to fit MattW's Vec. You can easily buy silicone pipework cheaply on ebay to make a kit yourself.

Very helpfull, Ta. Gonna go for something like that I think. Cheaper too. E-bay is open on another tab as we speak!
Just a shame nobody makes a specific kit for the Vectra yet, apart from K&N and the 57i, which everybody I have spoken too inc. MPG say is a no-no (which makes you wonder about K&N's "legendary" development process")!
What's the diameter of the MAP sensor? I'm not lazy, I'm away from home so can't measure it. Gotta get me some silicone hose!!
Ta, Matt
