Default Tesco selling Redex Diesel or Petrol Injector cleaner additive for £2

Apologise for spending your money again but .....
Don't know what your feelings are about Redex - but called in at Tesco in Uttoxeter, Staffs today and found that they are selling Redex Petrol or Diesel Injector cleaner reduced to £2 from £4, a 250ml bottle which will treat 2 tanks full of fuel. Asked a member of staff if it was just a local offer and was told it is national and all stores should have it at that price.

Bargain ......well done! (no wonder Tesco's profits are falling ) Do you rate it - I occasionally treat my 1.9 120 to a dose, it does say it's safe to use with DPF's and Cat's - don't know if it's the placebo effect or what but it does seem to run a bit better after a treatment

It may make a small improvement whilst in the tank as it increases the cetane rating of the fuel. But once purged and neat fuel is in the tank again it will be just the same as before.

aren't you talking about octane booster? I think the thread is about injector cleaner.

They do. I bought a couple of bottles last week from my local Tesco. Offer valid valid until 19/2/2015

Being pedantic, it says it'll treat two 50 litre fuel tanks. The Vectra has a 61 litre tank

Injector cleaner for diesel and petrol. Cetane is, very rougly speaking, diesel equivalent for octane

It does seem to run a little better to me. The car only has 65K on it so is low mileage for most diesels.

Never think these things hurts, if they did, they wouldn't be able to sell them?? If it helps to keep the injectors from gumming up, then it has to do some good.

But what really helps is one of the power booster resistors and my electric turbo fan...
