£60 doesn't leave a lot to go on, what's wrong with you standard speakers ? When I put my kenwood headunit in I was rather impressed with the capabilities of the standard speakers.

If you really want to replace them then you ideally want to stick with componants and something with a very high sensitivity, there's a couple of jbl sets on caraudiodirect that suit your budget

Lovely i wet myself when i looked at the spec of that amp If i can get one cheap and fit it in the boot might be a good move so i can refit the factory head unit ove my Alpine 117 ri.
I disagree about the speaker they are awful, when i fitted the Alpine i put the CD70 back in cos it sounded horrid with all that lovely adjust ability just sounded all muffled.

How did you rig your amp up? If i was to put the CD70 back in id have to get the pre amps wired for the output or put in high level ones again.

I am also looking at car speakers.
Lots (too many) tests/reviews here, but not all speakers available here in the UK.

    http://www.testfreaks.com/car-speakers/

I am looking at these JBL ones, but there are 2 types, one with built in tweeter (leave existing tweeter by windscreen in place) and one with a separate tweeter (to replace existing tweeter).

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/JBL-CS-6-2-W.../dp/B004OWX0XO
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/JBL-CS-6C-2-.../dp/B004OXI70O

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Jbl-Gt6-6-2-.../dp/B004HHONY6
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/JBL-GT6-6C-2.../dp/B004HHONZ0

    They are cheaper on ebay.

I am probably going to buy the JBL GT6-6 with built in tweeter and leave the existing tweeter in place.
If this is too much tweet, they I might move the GT6-6 to the rears and fit GT6-6c to the front, replacing the existing tweeters.
Tweeters are very directional and a lot of the extra tweet from the lower speaker will get lost in the seat and knees.
This is all in a Meriva B BTW, not a Vectra or Signum so you need to check the sizes.
