Faulty boot electics (boot lock, 3rd brake light, rear wiper)

Hi, I have a 06 1.9 CDTI Vectra hatchback with a fair few faults which developed in quick succession, all faults located in boot door. Firstly a faulty 3rd brake Faulty warning appeared on the dash, followed by the bolt lock not operating, the rear wiper will not function and finally I get a warning about the alarm system . I guess these are all related due to their close proximity, common electrical supply possibly? loom? any help/ideas appreciated. thanks, John

Check the rubber loom for broken wires

Agreed with the above, broken wire(s). The common thing is the earth wire(s). Earth wires are plain Brown.
There is an earth point in the tailgate and this earth will probably go to some where near the Rear Electrical Centre (REC), which is behind the panel on the LHS of the boot.

Hi , Thanks for all the replies. All sorted !!! found a broken earth wire where it comes out of the boot into the pillar within the rubber sheath. managed to splice wires together but wow vauxhall are stingy with their wire loom lengths! no wonder it broke
