Default Water stilling underneath the front Passenger seat no

On going problem: when I drive and its heavy raining i seem to get water under carpet located under the passenger seat directly underneath where the electric connector block under the seat is where it dips. Water just sits there. It is not coming from front carpets as they are dry and I also have no Rubber Scuttle and the pollen filter is dry.

To find out where water is coming from, I am now wondering if the electric wiring loom under the seats is connected to the wiring loom under the Scuttle Hole as its feels damp and wet under the scuttle wiring loom end but I am rather suprise if water can be soaked so far for it to settle under carpets, but not sure. Now I am thinking of putting the rubble scuttle back in to stop the wiring loom from getting wet. I guess this designed this way to stop the Wiring Loom getting wet?!?.

Anyone got any suggestions. This issue is really anoying as my windows keep getting misty.

yeah the rubber bit is designed to drain the water away from the loom

put the rubber back in then get a bottle cut the end off so its open then take the lid off this will help drain and keep it off the loom

as above try putting the rubber bit back in the scuttle tray

also make sure the drain by the wiper linkage is clear as well

a few members on here have taken the rubber out of the bottom of the drain and have had no problems

    ive left mine in

check the windscreen for cracks or has the windscreen been replaced

check the passenger door seal for leaks

Water leaking into footwells - new solution
After a few months of going crazy with my vectra c leaking rain water into both footwells after every downpour i finally

    found the problem:

    http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showth...ll+scuttle+tay

    THE SYMPTOMS:

When my car had been standing in rain, water seem to be pooling somewhere behind the dash then leaking into both footwells when driving off. I could hear water sloshing from side to side as i drove. Took both "L" shaped panels off in both footwells to expose ecu/wiring and water could be seen pouring down both sides behind soundproofing, eventually seeping under carpets and soaking them through. Before I removed these panels you can't notice the leak as it cunningly leaks hidden to below carpets.

    THE SOLUTION:

Most people told me it was common for the vectra to leak through the pollen filter into heaters and through pipes into footwells caused by blocked drains in scuttle panel - this wasn't an issue in mine as it drained how it should do!

    replaced windscreen still the same

Then i noticed this gap after removing wipers and scuttle panel top cover. Just below where this panel clips to windscreen there is a gap where windscreen ends and bodywork starts - only a few mm wide but runs width of screen and opens out slightly towards edges. Anyway seems water runs down edges of windscreen and can enter this void, then sit patiently there until u drive off and somehow enter the footwells.

All i did was fill this gap in with silicon sealant from edge to edge to make it water tight and TA-DAH not leaked since!!!!
