Had my call - not happy - attached is the email I sent them last week ( edited in bits for privacy )...... they feel after a review that because they serviced the car ( remember its been stripped and reprogramed loads of times ) and cleaned the AC ( Health and Safty from my point of view due to the length of no use ) they have done their bit.
I am therefore going to pursue this further if nothing else to make others ware of the warrenty, what it means and how people are treated if it all goes wrong ! Potentially at the end of the day I will be £4-5k out of pocket never mind the carp we as a familey have had to put up with.

Elizabeth,
I finally had a face to face and very constructive conversation with
Nidd Vale this weekend where they have recognised some of the problems I
have had at the hands of Vauxhall and are trying to help me move cars,
how ever this is easier said than done.
When I bought KD07XZW it was on the basis it was an ex management car (
M class ) owned by Vauxhall and therefore should have been a good
investment so I sunk a lot of cash in to it right at the start. I am now
facing a situation where by I have to look at a higher monthly rate
because I am unable to do that again. In light of the problems I have
had would Vauxhall be willing to make a good will contribution to bring
an end to this horrible situation for me and my family and allow us all
to move on ?
Just some of the tangible points I can raise as a result of the incident
over the past 111 days ( its still not done as bit of the console need
replacing due to damage ) are as follows although this is not a full list:
* Constantly been treated as though I was the cause of the problems
and having to justify my self to all involved and resulting me
feeling like it was me against every one else
* Christmas was nearly cancelled as I was refused a rental car and
only because I got very upset I got one - with out some thing we
would not have been able to do Christmas shopping nore visit as
required which been in an remote area would have been a disaster
for adults and children alike
* Having to chase constantly despite been promised regular updates
or call backs by the exec team
* Having to go day to day wondering if I had to give the car back (
this is an issue because I travel and because <<removed due to privacy>>)
* The continuous stress of chasing every one just to get movement
only to find there is none despite me been promised added to the
fact the obvious slow progress and massive lack of co-ordination
and communication
* Having to live in a rental car - this in its self was
problematical due to the extremely high excess Vauxhall paid for
plus having children made this harder to stop any accidental
damage. <<removed due to privacy>> ( again this also relates to
the will it be fixed to day or not stress ).
* A rental car caused me to work my daily business life around the
car as it had no phone kit further more I had to buy a sat nav as
it went on for so long - both of which are essential tools for my
job !
* When I got the car back the radio was not working despite me
bringing this up before hand
* In the end it was proven after nearly three months it was not
fixed - this actually nearly caused the missing of a very
important operation for my partner if it was not down to me
shouting for a car I would not have one and even then it was left
to the last minute so we had yet more stress.
* Again - another week of here we go again including yet another ten
minute warning of you need to return the hire car resulting in
another argument of the radio not working because some RM had
decided he had spent enough time on it. In the end YET AGAIN I had
to prove on a technical level what was going on ( which he should
have known ) and it was found the fault lay within the car.
* Lastly I am still waiting for answers to the questions I have
clearly repeated on a number of occasions.
The end result of all this did cause massive stress ( some of which I reviewed with my doctor ) and caused family issues by
constantly planning and replanning and as I said before when this
involves <<removed due to privacy>>. Finally we have ended up with a
car that has not had the fault proven to be found ( eg a specific faulty
part ) and also a car which neither my self or my partner can trust
should we be out in it - to move away from it at this stage would mean
my self been penalised financially in effect which out Vauxhall
accepting any of the blame in any form bar a standard email - hardly an
apology. Considering this has been what I would call a PR / CS nightmare
I would hope that Vauxhall can outlay that little more to bring a total
end to this situation for ALL concerned especially as no resolution of
the fault has been confirmed ( eg a fault part ) and that I am still of
a mind to look at legal action no matter the outcome because of the
above and other issues, should I go down this route I also intend to
make it high profile through the various consumer groups ( on and off
line ), press and may be even the likes of the BBCs Watchdog as every
thing as you know is logged in great detail.
I look forward to a positive response
